I'm sitting here in Toronto just relaxing and hanging out. It's been a while since I've had a week and a half off work and school, so I'm using the time wisely to regenerate for the hellish academic term that lies ahead. But I've got some things to look forward to. Like the Detroit Auto Show on January 19! And once again, moving into my own place in May. I can just taste the freedom right now...

To make sure I would never be bored, I loaded up a few DVDs with some of my favourite shows and movies: Top Gear, a couple Kevin Smith films, and some Penn and Teller (now before you go nuts, yes I own the original DVDs, don't call the MPAA).

This was a great time to find out that my laptop's DVD drive was broken.

Fortunately, my dad has about 8 computers lying around, so I was able to copy some files to flash drives and move them over that way. I've also purchased a new 2.5" 320GB external hard drive so I won't have to do things like this in the future.

This was also a great time to find out that my laptop's battery was dead. It flashes super annoying orange on the front and only charges to 19%. In addition, I also found out that the original battery in this laptop was subject to the recall for becoming a flamethrower. Good thing it had been replaced. I think I've learned my lesson about used laptops: never again. Especially since they're so cheap these days.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great Christmas so far. Mine has been pretty good. Oh, and if anyone has an extra left hand side skirt for a 1999 Mercury Sable or Ford Taurus in Amazon Green (SU), or any colour for that matter, please let me know! :)
