First of all, I'd like to say happy birthday to my dad, who hit another milestone Thursday. Congratulations, Dad!

I've also finished my exams! Yee haw.

Finally, I've formally received my full-time job offer for next May. There are still a few issues that need to be sorted out, and I have to pass a background screening, but since I'm overall a pretty boring person, I don't expect anything to turn up. But the salary is competitive and it is close to what I was hoping to get. The big thing for me, though, is the benefits package. It's going to save me a lot on medication, and they even subsidize health club memberships, which should help with my thirty pound pledge.

Speaking of my weight loss plan, I lost eight pounds and then gained four back. I've been slipping. But I've stayed off pop and fast food except for the odd occasion, and I'm eating fruit and vegetables on a regular basis. That's a big step towards eating better. At this point, I'm not too concerned with results. I'm just going to eat healthier food and try to get more exercise, and hopefully, they'll come.

I was really looking forward to having two weeks off from work and school, but predictably, it just didn't happen. I am now working Monday through Wednesday of next week. Don't worry, it won't affect my schedule at all; I'm still going to Toronto on Wednesday night, and I'll still be there until the 2nd or 3rd of January. I'll also get paid for Thursday and Friday which are statutory holidays in Ontario. I was given the option, but when I thought about what I would actually do during my three days off in Kitchener, I determined I would do pretty much nothing, and I would forfeit pay for three days. Money is something I just can't turn down.

Just thought I would cough up an update so anyone who actually read this piece of crap would know what's going on with me. There you have it. You've read it, now start weeping.
