First of all, happy birthday to me! Yeah, gloating is fun.

After googling my own name to see if my own Web site actually shows up in the results (it does), I noticed something peculiar. My name was coming up in university newspapers that I had no idea even existed. Baffled, I clicked the links to see what I had to do with these schools, or if there was someone else in the country with my name.

In August of 2006, The Cord Weekly newspaper at Wilfrid Laurier University published my article, “Alternative ways to fund your tuition: Alex Kozaris offers creative ways of footing your school bills“. Apparently, submissions at this time of year are pretty dismal, as at least two other universities have published the same article an entire year after the original publication. Without obtaining my permission or even notifying me, no less. Thanks for standing up for academic integrity.

Anyway, I would like to thank The Cascade, representing the University College of the Fraser Valley, for running the article. I’d also like to thank The Martlet from the University of Victoria for the same, but I’d like to point out that the editors are wimps for removing all of the political jabs. Maybe they just ran out of room and didn’t think they were funny, but all they had to do was contact me and I’d be able to suggest something else they could cut. Like editorials. Nobody reads editorials.
