Hey, I’m not dead! Check me out!

I’ve been away from this for a while for two reasons: school and work. I’m generally quite busy these days. Fortunately, my two midterms today went well, so the first half of my school term has been a success.

I am really enjoying studying Children’s Literature. For some reason, when I started in university I never even considered majoring in English. In highschool, most of my highest marks came in English. I generally didn’t like reading novels, but I loved to write and I liked poetry and Shakespeare (go figure). On my midterm, I discussed a couple fairy tales and how they represent the fulfillment of adolescent wishes. I hope I did well. I was happy with the result, anyway.

My other exam was in anthropology, which also turned out to be a very interesting course. I hate multiple choice exams, but this professor actually made one I liked. There were no trick questions like “pick the most correct answer,” they were all very straightforward. In fact, some were downright hilarious. Here are a couple of them, paraphrased, with the question and one of the possible answers.

While not conforming to most social expectations, outlaw bikers:
- frequently engage in homo-erotic behaviour

Foraging tribes have developed tools leading to:
- invention of the beer bong

Who wouldn’t want to write a test like that? Come on.

Anyway, I am relieved to be relieved of studying for these exams. What a relief. Expect more frequent updates (and hopefully more entertainment). Maybe I’ll actually put some stuff up here that isn’t a waste of time to read!
